Five Things Friday 4.25.2014

Happy Friday!

Brian and I have a very go-go-go weekend ending with a little family time for my birthday! Yep, I’ll be a whole quarter of a century and Sunday 🙂

My mom and sister are going to have a little brunch for me and my family, then we are going to have a little girl time by heading out to see Cinderella the ballet at Clowes Memorial Hall.  I can’t wait!

Saturday, Brian and I will be headed down to cute little New Harmony, IN to celebrate Andrea (from A Doctor in the House…we knew each other before blogging!) and Kyle’s wedding! So much happiness this weekend…I don’t think I can stand it!

On that note, I’ll share my five things because it’s Friday:

Five Things I Ate:

  • Almond Milk Iced Coffee…mmmm

  • Avocado Dill Dressing…this stuff seriously is SO good! and it gets better the longer you let it sit in the fridge.  I used the leftovers from Easter on my lunch and dinner salads this week and it was seriously amazing.

  • Brian and I went to dinner with his parents at their favorite restaurant:  Fire By the Monon.  My dinner salad was absolutely delicious:  Salmon with spinach, black beans and a roasted vegetable medley of corn, onion, and bell pepper.  AND I shared a couple of Brian’s onion rings 🙂

  • I whipped up a batch of salmon cakes on Sunday for the week and they turned out better than ever before! Not sure what I did differently, but they have been great 🙂lunch salmon cakes
  • A black bean brownie made by a coworker…it was so perfect.  After lunch I was still a bit hungry and didn’t really have any extra food to eat….so I had this black bean brownie! No sugar added, it’s sweetened with raspberries.  Seriously I love these things.  So tasty!

**I haven’t done yoga this week, so I’m thinking I will probably just have to do a video at home…

Five Things Making Me Happy:

  • It’s my birthday weekend!  🙂
  • The new Indianapolis Bikeshare Program.  Brian and I purchased annual memberships because the same company that does the bikeshare in Indy does it in Denver, so when we move our memberships will transfer!

  • The new Bodypump and CXWORX workouts/music…we launch on Monday and I am loving the new workouts!
  • Going to bed early last night.  I have been very tired lately and that extra hour of sleep REALLY made a difference!
  • Les Mills Reebok Gear.  I only have a couple of items, but the look is so fun and they tops are really comfy.  I can’t wait to order more 🙂
