About a month before Brian and I moved from Indianapolis to Denver, we met an amazing pair of photographers, Rebecca and Daniel, that we thought were actually pretty cool to hang out with too!
I had been needing and wanting to update photos on the blog and I knew Becca was just the girl to do it. Β Weeks before the big move, Becca and I paired up to do a fun little photo shoot around some of my favorite spots in downtown Indianapolis to pay tribute to the city that Brian and I love.
To say I was happy with the way the photos turned out is an understatement. Β Becca did an amazing job and I can’t thank her enough for working with me on this π
Make sure to check out more of Becca’s work at rebeccaelayne.com!
Henry’s is a cute little coffee shop located on East Street in the Mass Ave area of downtown Indianapolis. Β Brian and I loved visiting Henry’s to catch up with friends, to enjoy the occasional pre-work coffee date, and to study or get computer work done outside of our apartment. Β My favorite drink? Β Almond milk latte π
Brian and I lived in Chatham Arch, which was a neighborhood right by the fun and vibrant street of Mass Ave. Β If Brian and I needed something to do, all we had to do was walk out our doorstep onto Mass Ave and simply walk down the street for some fun and free entertainment. Β We loved stopping for fro-yo, grabbing drinks with friends and trying all the new restaurants on Mass Ave. Β It was such a fun neighborhood to live in π
The Circle is such an important spot for me. Β So many memories there fromΒ Monumental Yoga, to the “First Look” at our wedding, to the start of my first half marathon, and singing at the Circle of Lights.
The Canal
The Canal was located right outside of NIFS,Β the fitness center I worked at. Β I loved having it so close. Β I would often take walks during my lunch break along the canal,Β I would jog there on the weekends, and Brian and I would occasionally ride our bikes and hit up the canal.
Honestly, this was my first time at the Broad Ripple Farmer’s Market, but I LOVE farmer’s markets and Brian and I spent a lot of time in the Broad Ripple area while attending Butler. Β It was a great way to spend our last Saturday morning in Indianapolis before moving. Β Also, we can’t thank all of the vendors enough for being so kind and letting us take so many photos of their beautiful produce and flowers!
Brian and I loved our time in Indianapolis, but we are ready for this next chapter in our lives. Β We can’t wait to see where these next two and a half years take us!

Those picture are great! Your hair looks awesome in them. How do you curl it?
In Chicago I love the Lake Shore Path hence the name of my blog π
Thanks, Sara! I love that you used your favorite spot to run for your blog name π When I curl my hair I use a combination of a 1.5 inch (medium) sized barrel curling iron and a large curling iron π
This is a great post! I have been to every one of these places, besides the farmers market. Honestly, I can’t find a fruit stand/farmers market like I had in California. π I would love to know this Rebecca and Daniel photog crew; I am in desperate need of some new photos of the hubs and I!
Broad Ripple Farmer’s Market was a pretty good find! Not sure how it would compare to Cali though! There is a “contact me” form on Becca’s web site. If you shoot her a message she would be happy to hear from you!
Great pictures! I’ve been to Indiana many times (went to Valparaiso University) but I’d love to go to Indianapolis someday. You look beautiful. Love your hair as always!
