It’s summer and all the cold, creamy treats sound absolutely amazing.
These two ingredient Strawberry Greek Yogurt Popsicles are the absolute perfect thing for hot summer days. They come together pretty quickly (the hardest part is waiting for them to freeze!), and contain no added sugar making them perfect for little ones of all ages.
I hope you enjoy these popsicles as much as we do!
Ingredients in Strawberry Greek Yogurt Popsicles
Greek yogurt: Greek yogurt is a higher protein yogurt. It adds creaminess and a little tang to these popsicles. You can use full-fat, low fat or nonfat Greek yogurt here, just make sure to use plain, unsweetened Greek yogurt.
Strawberries: Strawberries are a great source of vitamin C and fiber, among many other nutrients. I use frozen strawberries for this recipe, which you can buy at the store, or you can freeze your own strawberries.
Vanilla extract: This is an optional ingredient, but I find that the warmth of the vanilla adds a touch of sweetness to these popsicles without adding extra sugar.
How to Make Strawberry Greek Yogurt Popsicles
To make these popsicles, blending just the strawberries in the blender until they are in really fine, small pieces. Then, add the Greek yogurt and vanilla extract if using and blend until totally combined. Scrape down the sides as needed. Pour the strawberry and yogurt mixture into a popsicle mold and allow them to freeze for at least 4 hours (mine took a little longer this time).
Strawberry Greek Yogurt Popsicle Tips
You could use a different frozen fruit if you wanted to try something other than strawberry.
I haven’t tested this recipe with other yogurts, but you could give it a try! A plant-based Greek-style yogurt should work in this recipe.
The vanilla extract is an optional ingredient, but it gives the popsicles a nice sweetness without adding extra sugar.
Because there is no added sugar in these popsicles, these would be a great treat for a naked (they get messy!) teething baby.
