Hello from Florida friends!
Today is our last official day of Floridian sunshine and Brian and I want to make sure we soak up every last minute of it.
We have had an amazing enjoying the company of our friends and just relaxing, and I can’t believe that our vacation is almost over.
Here is a look at what we have done so far:
On Monday, the weather was a little chilly and the sky was a little gray, but we still wanted to get out and about so we all piled ourselves into the car to check out the Pensacola Lighthouse.
Overall, the lighthouse was set up so tourists could walk through the house and take a peak into the lives of the people that used to live and work there.
After walking around the lighthouse grounds and checking out the house, we decided to take the trek up 177 stairs to the top of the lighthouse.
It was crazy walking up to the top, and I had to remind myself not to look down because looking at the spiral staircase made me very dizzy…but we all made it and the view was completely worth it.
Brian and Cassie reenacted the Titanic 🙂
We got to chatting with the staff and learned that the lighthouse was thought to be haunted. They even had an official “Ghost Meter Pro” so they could read the energy of the ghosts in the building. Spooky!
Despite the chilly weather, we still wanted to head to the beach so we bundled up and headed out!
The boys played a little bocce ball…
And Cassie and I went on a little beach run. It was so fun, but running on the sand is so different than running in the road!
After freezing our little tushies off at the beach, we decided to hit up the indoor pool and sauna for a little warmth.
After the pool and the beach, we headed out for a little St. Patty’s night fun…
We hit up the Flora-Bama, a bar on the Florida Alabama state border.
There was live music, lots of dancing, and we had an overall great time 🙂
Reminded me of being on college spring break!
Despite the amount of “fun” we had, we all woke up feeling great! Thank goodness!!
Based on this post, here are a few similar ones you should check out.

I have heard many stories about Flora-Bama and the things you can see there… hopefully your experience was different since it was Spring Break! haha. Glad to see you enjoyed the panhandle, though! I live over toward Destin 🙂
Wish we could have met up!! Maybe next time…or if you come North to Indy!
