You know those mornings when you just wake up on the right side of the bed, ready to conquer the day?
This morning was one of those mornings. I knew that I wanted to wake up early today, so I set an alarm for 6am…but I woke up a little bit before my alarm naturally and I felt great!
After cleaning up the bathroom and tidying up some loose ends from the week, I started my day with a delicious egg white scramble.
In the mix:
Egg whites
1 egg
Morningstar Farms sausage
Tomato
Onion
Jalapenos
Yellow Bell Pepper
Salsa
Seriously, these eggs completely hit the spot this morning.
Yesterday, totally flew by. It was a busy day of teaching Body Pump, practicing the new release of Body Pump, grocery shopping, and doing some personal “work” stuff.
Friday night, though, was a blast! Brian’s parents, Brian, me, and two of our friends (Caitlin and Dave) all went to Fire by the Monon for dinner. It was a chilly, rainy, and very fall evening. The perfect night to be filled with good food, tasty wine, and friends.
We have eaten at Fire by the Monon a couple of times in the past year, and I am always impressed by the delicious food, the friendly service and the welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant.
As we waited to be seated, we enjoyed a couple of glasses of delicious riesling. I am not even sure what brand it was, but it was delicious and completely hit the spot after a long work week 😉
When the server listed the specials, all that I heard him mention was soft-shell crab. As I placed my order, he corrected my request saying that it was a soft-shell crab sandwich…darn! I was not in the mood for a sandwich so instead, I ordered the delicious cold smoked salmon with roasted veggies and sweet potatoes. It was extremely delicious!
We had a great evening taking our time with dinner, laughing, talking, and just sharing each other’s company. It was perfect!

Kate, Brian’s mom, surprised me on Saturday with a little treat.
I love everything about that mug! It is pink, and mentions cooking…it is perfect for me 🙂
Today, I am going to do exactly what that mug recommends…keep calm, prepare for the week, and cook up a storm!
Hope you all have a great Sunday!
