Whenever I make the grocery list I ask Brian to tell me what he has been craving. Literally, the door is open for him to give me suggestions on snacks, breakfast ideas, lunches, dinners, treats, and everything in between. Usually he simply says “The usual!” which means…surprise me, or the same thing as last week.
This week, instead of just saying “the usual” he said “check your e-mail!” In my e-mail I found several links to delicious looking recipes from Pinterest. These were not just any old meal ideas. They were all relatively easy to make, and they were healthy! Great job Brian 🙂
Quinoa Pizza Bites from Fit Success
Turkey Burgers with Zucchini Bun from Queen of Quinoa
Pesto Crockpot Chicken from Picky Palate
Everything has turned out delicious, and has been a great change from the usual baked fish and roasted/steamed veggie routine.
Here are pics of the meals I have tried so far:

We used something called a “Landmine Machine:”
And I got to test out the ropes:
Pretty fun if you ask me!

Zucchini for burger buns?! Genius. Way to go Brian for suggesting those alternatives. My hubby always just says ‘the usual’, as well, which means apples and yogurt. He’s no help – haha!
Apples and yogurt…yummy, but not exactly “meal ideas” 🙂 Brian did good this time!!
Those quinoa pizza bites look fantastic, and I love the idea of using zucchini as a bun. So cool! 🙂
The little bites are SO good!! Cold and warm 🙂
