For lunch today I packed a salad with just about every vegetable in it (spinach, celery, red pepper, onion, cauliflower, and carrots) topped with salsa. On the side, I packed a chopped up mini cucumber and a homemade peanut butter cookie larabar (seriously tastes like peanut butter cookie dough!)
Work Fashion
It seriously felt cold enough outside to wear boots a scarf and a jacket….but I thought that everyone else might feel like that was over kill. Looks like it is time to start fall layering!
Labels
Clare at Fitting It All In had a great post this weekend about labeling your diet and whether or not it is ok to change the way one eats. I really felt like this post hit home because I feel like I am in a very experimental stage in my life, and that includes diet.
I know that I am constantly experimenting with vegetarian meals and occasionally incorporate lean meat, but if one week I may feel the need to totally eliminate meat to see how my body reacts and see how it functions best I should be able to do so without feeling pressure from others to “label” myself as a vegetarian or whatever.
She mentions that the nutrition program she is studying focuses on Bio-individuality, meaning that everyone has different needs, a different diet, different food sensitivities and there is no way or reason to put a label on the way anyone eats.
Some great comments and conversations were started at the bottom of the post, so feel free to put in your input. I think it is a great post and that everyone should check it out!
Back to the workday! (I know it’s labor day, but the mall is still open so I am at work 😉 )
