Hello friends! Happy September!
I hope that everyone had an amazing last weekend full of summertime. First of all, I must say that I am so sorry that I left without notice last week. As you can see, I was doing some updates on the blog. The company I am working with told me things would be ready to go in 24 hours…well, 7 days later things are back up and running and Treble in the Kitchen is ready for action!
Before I get things started this morning, I want to give a big shout out to my friend, Lauren Fisher! She is completely amazing and designed my logo (it is in the header), and has really helped me to reformat the blog. Thanks Lauren!
Because I missed you all for a whole entire week, here are some photo recaps of what went down in the Treble in the Kitchen household the last week of August.
I taught my usual Tuesday spin class including some super hard interval work. The class LOVED it! Today, I did the same workout, but with some new tunes.
I made some delicious muffins using batter that can be refrigerated for a week!! Details and recipe coming soon….
I ran 3.75 while completing a tabata treadmill interval workout.
I received my package from winning a contest on the Lean Green Bean Blog. It was my first experience with Love Grown Foods Granola…let me just say that I know why everyone gets so crazy about this stuff now. IT IS SO GOOD! (and gluten free! for those gluten free friend’s out there!!)
I attended my first Colts football game.
I ran 10 miles…in the rain.
Brian and I attended our dear friend, Kelsey’s, beautiful wedding!
I made Brian’s mom some raspberry brownies…all by doctoring up some boxed mix….details and recipe coming soon 🙂
Happy Headgear
Now, on to the good stuff!
A couple of weeks ago, I went home to visit my mom and she was so excited to show me her new headband that she purchased at a summer festival in Fort Wayne. She was so pumped about this headband because of the thickness, the custom size that she received when she bought it, it didn’t slip off of her head, and because it was so dang cute.
As soon as I saw this, I knew that I had to reach out to Christen Ellis from Happy Headgear so that I could try one out for myself.
Christen explained to me that she loves running, used to teach Body Pump, and absolutely loves the gym but was having trouble finding headbands that stayed in her hair, didn’t cause any headaches, and looked great. To solve her problem, she started making her own headbands in custom sizes to fit different sized heads.
I sent Christen my head measurements, and she thought that a small would fit best. She was right!
I wore the headband during my boot camp class, and it didn’t move an inch!
I wore it while teaching Body Pump, and again the band stayed in place.
I then tested it out on a 9 mile run, and again the headband didn’t budge. So, not only does this headband look super cute, but it honestly doesn’t move.
GIVEAWAY ALERT!!!
Christen was kind enough to give me a voucher for one free headband to give to one blog reader. In order to win this amazing prize, here is what you have to do:
