Final Run and A Nostalgic Night

Yesterday started with an early morning treadmill run.

Not just ANY treadmill run, the final run in my half marathon training plan.  The Monumental Marathon and Half Marathon is this Saturday and I couldn’t be more excited, anxious, and ready to do this.  Now, I just have to be patient and get through the week.

Breakfast was a delicious and warming bowl of pumpkin oats.  The temps have definitely dropped and warm breakfasts are sounding more and more appetizing.

Work was busy, but not too overwhelmingly crazy.  There are a lot of things to get caught up on after being out of the office for three days last week!

When I finally took my lunch break, I headed straight into the Group Fitness Studio (perks of working at a gym) and practiced my CXWORX.

During training, we had to learn and teach two of the six tracks in the class so I am now learning the remaining tracks so I am prepared to team teach next week.

After a few rounds through of CX, I was ready for lunch which was a delicious salad:

Black bean burger and salsa on top of romaine, spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, and celery.  Yum!  Even when it’s cold I am still a salad lover.

As soon as work was over, Brian picked me up and we headed out for a nostalgic night at Butler University for a pre-season game.

Such a fun, weekday treat!  The bulldogs won, and we got home in time for me to be in bed before 10pm…I’d call it a pretty good day 😉

  1. I can’t believe your training is about over. I swear it was just yesterday when you mentioned you’d be running another half. Crazy how quick the days fly by.

I know big of fans you guys are, so that’s great that Butler won their game.
