Marie Turns Two

When thinking of a theme for Marie’s second birthday, I tried to think of all the things that she really loves. Books, colors, flowers, and balloons were all at the top of the list so I incorporated all of those things into the decor of the party.

This was a small gathering with only family, but maybe next year our COVID baby will have a party with friends? We will see!

We blew up our own balloons using a helium tank we purchased at Target, and I learned a few lessons about helium balloons! We purchased some jumbo balloons with tassels and attempted to blow them up the night before, and they all sank by morning. In the future (if we ever want to blow up our own balloons again), we will do it right before the party to ensure they have the proper amount of float.
