Description

Savory Pumpkin Pinwheels are a delicious lunch or dinner filled with flavorful chicken sausage and nutritious pumpkin!


Ingredients

8 oz tube refrigerated pizza dough or crescent dough

2 tablespoons cream cheese

1/2 cup pumpkin puree

1 cup cooked ground Italian chicken sausage

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon dried sage


Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Spread the pizza dough or crescent roll dough out onto a clean cutting board lined with parchment paper. Patch any holes and make a large rectangle.

Spread the cream cheese over the dough, but it’s ok if you miss a few spots. It all melts together at the end.

Evenly spread the pumpkin puree, chicken sausage, mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, onion powder and dried sage over the dough.

Starting at one short end, roll up the dough lengthwise. Cut with a serrated knife into 1-inch rounds.

Place the rounds on the prepared baking sheet and bake for about 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Serve warm.
