I think that I have found Brian’s new favorite snack.
He has had one (or more!) of these granola bars every day since I made them 🙂
A former co-worker of my mom’s shared this recipe with me a few years back, and I had kind of forgotten about it until this past weekend when I was planning meals and snacks for the week.
I absolutely LOVE these granola bars because they are a combination of crunchy and chewy, they aren’t too sweet but with the dates, raisins, and honey they are just sweet enough, and they are full of so many things that are good for our bodies.
Some of the star ingredients include wheat germ which is high in fiber and B vitamins, almonds which are great for your heart, coconut which can boost ones immunity, and oats which are another great source of fiber.
Nothing makes me happier than sharing a tasty and healthy recipe with all of you…so I hope you enjoy!
Homemade Granola Bars
Ingredients:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 275 degrees.
Mix all dry ingredients. Heat honey (or molasses or agave nectar) and oil in saucepan until combined. Pour over the dry ingredients and stir. Spray large sheet pans with nonstick cooking spray. Spread and pack the granola mixture into large sheet pans.
Bake for 45-55 minutes.
Enjoy!

Thanks, Audrey!! Let me know when you try them 🙂
The sound awesome! I don’t usually have pumpkin or sesame seeds laying around though unfortunately. I’ll have to remind myself to order some off of vitacost 🙂
They are seriously good, but don’t worry! Sometimes I leave out the sesame seeds and they taste fine!!
