Baking Christmas cookies is an event in my family. Β We bake for the sake of baking and always end up with trays beyond trays of delicious and pretty cookies that we end up giving to friends, family, neighbors, and anyone who looks like they could use a good cookie π
Of course we have our family favorites that we make every year, but sometimes it’s fun to throw in some newbies.
This weekend, Brenna (my sister) and I are starting our holiday bake off and I was hoping to throw in one new-to-me cookie recipe that is a little bit healthier. Β I’m all about indulging every once in a while, but if I can find a cookie that tastes great and is healthier than normal then I will most certainly add it to my baking list.
Here are some cookie contenders:
Peanut Butter Christmas CookiesΒ from Chocolate Covered Katie
Vegan Peppermint PattiesΒ from Fit Foodie Finds
Vegan Peanut Butter Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies from ImmaEATthat
Molasses Coconut Oil Crinkle Cookies from Averie Cooks
Cranberry Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies from Healthful Pursuit
Lowfat Gingerbread Cookies from SkinnyTaste

I tend not to leave a response, but I looked at a ton of comments

Could it be only me or do some of the comments appear
as if they are left by brain dead individuals? :

Those PB Christmas Cookies look amazing, yum!! My favorite x-mas cookie is the classic PB Blossom. I’ve tried making a healthified version & put it on my blog last year, but it’s not quite the same as the original. π
YES! I love PB blossoms π
I love substituting coconut oil in place of butter in cookie recipes and adding dark chocolate chips instead of regular ones. And you look adorable as always π
Oh me too!! I absolutely love subbing with coconut oil.
I love yummy healthy cookies! The coconut oil ones from Averie cooks get me every time! I made these delicious healthy (vegan) pumpkin snickerdoodles this Fall – the cookie dough is maybe my favourite part of making them – I think I might reinvent them for Christmastime π

Those pumpkin snickerdoodles sound tasty!
Love this post! I’m all for indulging a bit more around the holidays, but I definitely like making desserts healthier if possible. I may post this on Facebook if you don’t mind- I think many of my friends would find this helpful π Have a great day!
Hi Kim!!! Please post away π You can follow Treble in the Kitchen’s page on facebook too so you see all my posts π Thanks for enjoying the post and let me know if you give any healthy cookies a try!
Ah these all look amazing! I have been wanting to tackle those peppermint patties for awhile now… thanks for the reminder. My favorite healthy cookie is the “2-ingredient cookie” — rolled oats + mashed bananas + mix ins (chocolate chips are my fave!)
Mmmmm! 2 ingredients! These sound awesome!
