This week, my workouts have basically consisted of practicing for the newest Bodypump release. We launch the new release next week, and I always spend extra time the week before the launch rehearsing. Even though I love being in front of the class teaching, I love being in front of people, and I just love Bodypump I still get so nervous the first time that I teach a new release. For me, extra practicing means getting the kinks out ahead of time for a smooth first class with the new music and moves. 😉
Yesterday, I mentioned that I prepared to host a trail mix bar for a mid-morning snack break at my day job. Well, the bar turned out to be very cute and a great hit with our client! That counts as a successful day in my book.
Dinner
As I was driving home from work last night, I was also racking my brain for dinner ideas. I pulled a bag of shrimp out of the freezer to thaw the night before, but I honestly did not know what I wanted to do with it. During the drive, I called Brian and he suggested a couple of options that just didn’t sound all that appetizing…then it came to me: Chili Lime Garlic shrimp!
This meal was so delicious, and I can’t wait to make it again. It came together in under 20 minutes too! Can’t beat that.
Chili Lime Garlic Shrimp
Yields: 3-4 Servings
Ingredients:
Directions:
Heat the olive oil over medium high heat in a medium sized skillet. In a large bowl, combine the shrimp, garlic, chili powder, and lime juice. Mix well until all of the shrimp are combined in the seasoning. Cook the shrimp for a total of 5-6 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from the pan and enjoy alongside steamed veggies, quinoa, or any of your favorite side dishes!
Not only was this meal tasty, but it made enough for me to pack for lunch tomorrow. I can’t wait for the second round of this meal!
Hope you all have a great “almost Friday!”
