I am still really trying to get the hang of this Denver weather thing…

I feel like in the morning, I NEED to wear gloves on a run outside.

Then by afternoon, it’s blazin hot!

(these photos were taken DAYS apart! weather is too funny here!)

OK, so it’s really not that bad and most days it’s perfect sweater weather because I don’t even need a jacket over my sweater. Β It’s just a big change from the Indiana weather I am used to πŸ™‚

So, even though it’s fall and I am totally LOVING my hot oatmeal, there are definitely days that are pretty warm outside and cold, creamy smoothies sound like the perfect way to start the day.

That is exactly what this smoothie is for! Β All the flavors of fall in a cold, creamy smoothie when you don’t quite have that fall chill in the air.

  1. When my sister-in-law moved to Denver, I bought her all kinds of warm clothes thinking the weather would be worse than Indiana. Nope. She’s been just as amazed as you – with it being chilly in the morning and sweltering in the summer. I think it’s the elevation?

I’m not a smoothie girl but I’m cutting treats so this might fit the bill. Thanks for sharing!

  2. I haven’t made an apple smoothie in over a year. Thanks for reminding me how delicious they really are.

Our weather right now is in the 90’s, however it’s been in the high 80’s at night. Ha!
