As I was preparing for the update last week, I had many of you share fun facts with me, and I LOVED learning more about so many of you.
In honor of my new look (donβt worry, itβs still the same me behind the recipes, nutrition tips, and life that you see on social media and the blog) I wanted to share some fun facts with you.
Fun Facts
I have loved cooking since I was young. Β Some of my favorite memories are spent in the kitchen baking cookies or helping my mom or dad with dinner.
In my first degree, I studied Arts Administration and Vocal Performance (Iβm a classically trained singer and still sing when I can).
Right after I graduated college, I worked on a cruise line as a fitness instructor and personal trainer. Β We traveled through Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
The holidays are my favorite time of year, and in my family we still do stockings (even though there are no longer any young children!).
Brian, my husband and I, met in college at a party nearly 10 years ago. Β We started dating shortly after and have been inseparable ever since.
Growing up, I was terrified of all dogs for no known reason. Β Now, I have two vizslas that are absolutely my fur babies and sleep in bed with us every night.
My favorite style of music is Broadway, and listening to it instantly lifts my mood.
I interned with the Smithsonian in Washington DC while in undergrad.
Brian and I love reading together or listening to audiobooks together, typically dystopian or suspense/thriller.
A new favorite hobby of mine is home decorating and most things related to houses and homes, and Brian and I are in the process of working with contractors to renovate a home from 1922…we canβt wait to move in!

My name is Tiffany. I found your website after reading an article you wrote about distance dietitian programs. I know your time is short, but could I ask you a question? I am looking at starting the distance dietitian program at UNC. However, I -am wondering if I bit off more than I can chew. My husband is deploying next year and I have four kids. All my kids are in school, but I was wondering how vigorous was UNCs program? Weβre you completely miserable in school? Or were you able to have a good balance of school and family life? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Tiffany
I love the new look!!! It’s obvious to see how much work you’ve put into this, and it’s really paid off! Congratulations. π
Fun fact about me: I look some time off after high school to do some mission work and lived in India for two months!
