A Treble in the Kitchen First: Traveling for the Blog #NowGetFit

Hey friends!

Happy hump day 🙂

Just popping in for a bit to say hey!  I may or may not be posting a Five Things Friday post later this week because I have some super exciting news…

I’m traveling to the Chicago area tomorrow for a blogging immersion event for a behind the scenes peak at NOW Foods.  Seriously, guys I am SO pumped! Not only is this my first ever trip for the blog but I get to meet a ton of other bloggers while I am there 🙂  Make sure to follow me on instagram and follow the #NowGetFit hashtag for a little “insider’s view” while I am away!

Now….I just have to pack! (wish me luck!)

In other news, the weather was absolutely gorgeous yesterday.  I decided to bite the bullet and planted some flowers in cute Ikea flower boxes for our balcony (despite my black thumb!).

I really love the look and homey feel they give our little balcony, so I am really hoping they stay alive 🙂

For lunch yesterday, I enjoyed some steamed sprouted brown rice/quinoa with sauteed kale and grilled chicken with cherry tomatoes seasoned with a little white balsamic vinegar, olive oil, chives, sea salt and pepper.

It tasted really great, but I’m still not used to this whole “hot lunch” idea!  I’ve been checking out pinterest for lunchtime inspiration and I have seen some super yummy “nourish bowls” “glow bowls” and “buddha bowls” that I’m going to have to try in the VERY near future.

After a SUPER quick dinner, Brian and I headed out for another Kindness yoga class.   While I am a morning worker outer through and through, getting in a little relaxing movement after dinner really helps me wind down for the evening.  I am definitely a fan!
