It’s that time again…
Half marathon training time!
I honestly have not run consistently since the Monumental Half Marathon back in November, but I have maintained my fitness level through indoor cycling, Bodypump, CXWORX, yoga and circuit-style workouts and classes.
Just like last year, I will be a running group leader for the NIFS (the gym I work at) Mini Marathon Training Program. We have our first meeting tonight, and our first run scheduled for Wednesday, January 29. Considering the record snow and low temperatures we have had this year, I’m hoping the weather will be a little cooperative by then.
After a much needed running break, I am so excited to get back into my running routine!
On a completely unrelated note…I have another recipe for you!
Recently, I have been making a crockpot meal on Sundays to have on hand for nights when Brian and I are short on time. This week I got a little creative in the crockpot and created this creamy, warming, tasty concoction.
It is super comforting for the soul and the body. For me, curry just makes me feel warm inside and this dish is chock full of nutritious good for you veggies. It is a total win, win. I hope you enjoy!

**I ate mine as a soup, but this would go very well over brown rice or quinoa.

I how fun that you run a training group! I could really use something like that at my gym since I find running with others is a lot more fun! 🙂
It really helps on those long runs!
Yay! I hope to run a half again this spring (or maybe even try for a hat-trick weekend). Keeping my fingers crossed as I don’t want to push my knee just yet so taking it day by day.
